If you currently hold one of these positions or you would like to serve in one of these roles for next year, please email the current PTO President, Jessica Engelstad, at [email protected].
There are a number of other volunteer opportunities, so let us know if you are interested in any other specific area. More detail about these opportunities will be shared following leadership selection. Leadership will be voted on in May, so please share your interest with Jessica as soon as you're able. Also, if you would like any other information or have questions about the responsibility, feel free to email. Thank you for your support!
All 5th Graders are invited to join their current and future classmates from all Eden Prairie schools for Spring Fling, an end-of-year party just for 5th graders! They will enjoy karaoke, music/dancing, bingo, candy and pop walks, a photo booth, gym games, and more! Pizza, drinks, and snacks will be served and all attendees will receive a t-shirt they will wear the day and night of the event. Please read carefully through all the details below. You must register your child by Wednesday, April 27.
Registration Registration is via the My Payments Plus website. If you do not already have a My Payments Plus account, you will need to create one. You can do that here: https://www.mypaymentsplus.com/register You will need your child's Student ID # to create your account with your 5th grader added to your account. If you already have a My Payments Plus account for the school district, you can log into your account to register for the party here: MyPaymentsPlus. Look for the Spring Fling drop down on your Dashboard. All information is required and payment must be made by credit card. If you need financial assistance, please contact your school's social worker for a code to use during registration. Transportation Bus transportation will be provided to/from your child's current school. All students should be at their current school by 5:30 p.m., Friday, May 20. They must wear their t-shirt and a wristband, which will be provided prior to the event. They will arrive back at their current school at 9:30 p.m. Please plan to arrive then for pick-up. IMPORTANT: Dropping off and picking up your child directly from Central Middle School is not allowed! This is a large event (likely 600+ students), and direct transportation is not feasible with that many cars. Final details will be sent out to parents as the event gets closer. Volunteers This will be the first time this event has taken place since 2019. A group of parent volunteers came together to bring this event back now that in-person gatherings are possible. We are in need of more volunteers to make this event a success. We need set-up and clean-up help as well as help running the different activities and providing food and security during the actual event. If you or your company have larger donations for a raffle or "swag bag," please contact Ashley Young at [email protected]. We also need smaller snack items, $5 gift cards (fast food, movies, etc.), and other items for prizes. Cash donations are welcome as well! All donations will need to be delivered to your child's current school the week of the event. We will send out more details prior to that week. We look forward to celebrating our 5th graders! Thanks for helping us make this event a big success! The Kiddywampus toy store will be holding a fundraiser on Friday and Saturday, April 8-9, at both the Chanhassen and Hopkins locations. Twenty percent of each purchase will come back to our school, just let them know your purchase should count for Forest Hills. Take this opportunity to restock your birthday party gift inventory, purchase items to fill Easter and spring baskets, re-supply classrooms with unique supplies, and treat those kiddos in your life with a little extra treat! Wondering how our Fat Pants Brewery fundraiser and silent auction turned out?
The event raised $2,088 ($1,545 in the auction and $543 through pint sales)! Thanks again to everyone who stopped by; we loved appreciated seeing the Forest Hills families and all the support of the fundraiser. |
