Our amazing Forest Hills community came together to help us meet, and exceed, our Kindness-a-thon fundraising goal! At the time of this post, the fundraiser has brought in $15,837 from 29 different states! We also had a phenomenal show of kindness from our students and about 400 students showed kindness to someone at school, home, or in the community. What an impact! Because we've met our goals, all students will participate in a Winter Celebration party with music and food. Principal Knorr and Associate Principal Walters will also complete an ice bucket challenge in December - brrr! Students also had a visit from the "Science Wizard" at school today as a finale to the fundraiser this month.
We are so appreciative for our amazing students and families and look forward to the many improvements this fundraiser will bring to our playground and maker space. We will be spreading gratitude and kindness during this long 5-day weekend and we hope you will as well. The Kindness-a-thon fundraiser ends tomorrow and we still need your help to reach our goal. We're about $1,500 short of the goal - we're so close! Donate here. We've raised $13,441 of our $15,000 goal so far. If the financial goal is met, the students will participate in a whole-school winter celebration party. PLUS - Mr. Knorr and Mr. Walters will do the ice bucket challenge outdoors in December! The kids won't want to miss out on this fun! We're so grateful for all the donations that have came in so far. We've had support from over half of the states - AMAZING! Thank you to everyone who's helped spread the word or made a donation - we appreciate you!
This is the final weekend of our largest fundraiser of the year and we need your help to reach our goal. So far we have raised $12,086, about $3,000 short of our goal. In addition, we have 331 names on the kindness tree at Forest Hills showing how many students have completed or committed to acts of kindness. Help us reach our goals by registering on the website to track their kindness tasks and raise donations.
Keep spreading kindness and reach out to family and friends for donations. This is a great end-of-year giving option and way to show kindness during the month of thankfulness. Donations raised will be used to make further improvements to the playground and maker space and, if we reach our goal, students will have a winter celebration party. Plus, as part of the celebration Principal Knorr has promised a crazy principal stunt! |
