We have two critical levy votes coming up on the November 8th ballot and we want your voices to be heard! Vote Yes twice when you vote between now and Tuesday! Our operating and capital project levies are essential, and if they were to expire, the district would be forced to make difficult decisions about raising class sizes, cutting programs, and reducing staffing. Eden Prairie has a long history of strong financial stewardship and the district has not had to reduce program offerings or increase class sizes for the past eight years. Here is a brief video about the levies and you can get more details and FAQs here.
Without continued investment, Eden Prairie School will face extreme challenges and difficult decisions. Let’s do our part by VOTING YES on November 8th and keeping Eden Prairie ranked as one of the top schools in the state! Need more info? Click here to learn more. Yearbooks are back and are on sale now! There's nothing else like a school yearbook and your kiddos will thank you for helping them remember their time at Forest Hills! They will be able to share it with friends today and hang on to it for years to come!
If you make your purchase before Nov. 25, all yearbooks will be $2 off - starting at just $23! During this month of thankfulness we are holding our annual Raise Craze Kindness-a-thon fundraiser. The fundraiser runs now through Tuesday, Nov. 22. So what is a Kindness-a-thon? Instead of asking students to sell more "stuff" to friends and family, we are asking our students to pledge to do acts of service. As a show of gratitude for this, friends and family can donate to your student's fundraiser page. Here's what you need to know to make this fundraiser a success:
What is the goal? As a school, we are aiming to raise $15,000 and complete at least 2,500 acts of kindness. We hope to use this funding to continue to improve the playground with things like new basketball hoops and picnic tables, in addition this money will be used to improve the Maker Space at Forest Hills. What sort of acts of kindness can students complete?
A list of suggested acts of kindness were sent home with your students. They include things like:
Families can also donate items most needed in our community to benefit PROP. Leave items in the collection bin found in the Forest Hills front entrance. Here are items that are being collected:
